Butler

Half court offense (2)
1) Butler Half Court Offense Vs. Man Defense

Butler uses a ball screen offense that is easy for them to stay in continuity.

The ball is brought to a wing while #4 and #5 setup for a double staggered ball screen on top.

#3 flattens out to the corner.

The best low block player in the staggered ball screen will always roll to the post while the perimeter shooting post will pick and pop.
2) Butler Half Court Offense Vs. Man Defense

#1, if no shot is taken, will continue his dribble and either pass to #2 and cut through to the opposite corner or he will execute a dribble hand-off with #2.

#4 slides up to the top to get ready to set another double staggered screen.
3) Butler Half Court Offense Vs. Man Defense

#4 and #5 set another double staggered screen for #2 with the same rules applying for #4 and #5 in terms of rolling and popping out.
4) Butler Half Court Offense Vs. Man Defense

#2 will now pass to #3 on the wing and cut to the back side of the floor.

#3 passes to #1 cutting up and then cutting through to the opposite corner.

#5 slides up to the top to setup the next double staggered ball screen.
5) Butler Half Court Offense Vs. Man Defense

Now #1 drives off the double staggered screen.
6) Butler Half Court Offense Vs. Man Defense

Anytime they pass back to the "pick and pop" guy, like #4 in this diagram, they will immediately dribble hand-off and roll to the rim while the other post slides up to bring his defender up.

#1 is looking to create and score off the hand-off or dump it to #4 rolling or #5 at the top of the key for the high / low post entry.
